Using Liberon AQUA-STOP Tough Deck Finish
Liberon AQUA-STOP Tough Deck Finish is an advanced 3 in 1 formulation of stain protection, colour and timber sealer in one. It has been specially formulated to suit most types of timber decking. Using innovative water-based technology, Liberon AQUA-STOP Tough Deck Finish contains natural oils that penetrate deep into the wood to prevent damage by water and sunlight whilst guaranteeing long lasting protection against weathering. Its liquid formula makes it easy to apply with a matt finish which enhances the natural grain of the wood. It is safe to use around animals and plants.Application : Stir well before use. Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from previous finishes and dust.
On new wood: For hardwoods, it is recommended to leave the wood exposed for up to 12 months before applying a finish. This allows the grain in the wood to open and breath and aids adhesion of the finish.
On old wood: Remove any previous finishes completely and clean the decking thoroughly beforehand with Liberon Tough Deck Clean and Revive. Allow to dry for 24 hours before applying a finish.
Apply a generous coat of AQUA-STOP Tough Deck Finish with a paint brush or roller. Allow to penetrate for 15 to 30 minutes (depending on the porosity of the wood). Wipe off any excess with a lint-free cotton cloth. Leave to dry for 2 hours. Apply a second coat in the same way as the first. Wait 24 hours before using your
decking.
Important : The application process has a tendency to darken the natural colour of the wood, however this will fade a few days after application. Always test product on a spare surface or inconspicuous area for colour, compatibility and end result. For tannelised timber, colour may vary.
Cleaning and Maintenance : For general maintenance clean with Liberon AQUA-STOP Deck Aftercare which will maintain the colour and appearance of AQUA-STOP Tough Deck Finish without damaging it. The use of an aggressive cleaner is not recommended as this may damage the finish.
Precautions : Wear suitable clothing and protective gloves when using the AQUA-STOP Tough Deck Finish. Store AQUA-STOP Tough Deck Finish at a temperature above 5C. Always replace the lid otherwise the product can deteriorate. Oily cloths can self combust. Do not leave impregnated cloths in bundles. Lay out flat to dry or submerge in water before disposal.

Keep out of reach of children. Do not empty into drains. Do not allow to freeze. Use only in well ventilated areas. Contains hydroxybenzotriazole. May produce an allergic reaction.

EU limit value for AQUA-STOP Tough Deck Finish (CatA/f): 150g/L (2007) – 130g/L (2010). AQUA-STOP Tough Deck Finish contains max 20g/L VOC.
